Safari Overview
This 5-day camping safari in Tanzania will guide you through Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and a substantial part of the Southern Serengeti. During specific times of the year, you will have the opportunity to witness the impressive migration of thousands of wildebeests and zebras in the Serengeti.

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Your private camping safari begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. You will then travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a location celebrated for its lush landscapes and rich birdlife. Upon arrival, you’ll set out on an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s distinctive environments and observing its diverse wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided in a scenic spot within the park. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you will set up camp at a designated site in Lake Manyara, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay, immersed in the tranquil sounds of the bush.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast at the campsite, you will depart Lake Manyara and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage site is renowned for its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife. Upon reaching the crater, you will descend into its floor for a full day of game viewing. The diverse habitats within the crater offer excellent chances to spot a variety of animals, including the potential for seeing the Big Five. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed on the crater floor amidst the stunning scenery. In the late afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and head to a nearby campsite where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
Following an early breakfast, you will leave Ngorongoro and travel to Serengeti National Park, known for its vast plains and exceptional wildlife. The journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, leading you to the heart of the Serengeti. Upon arrival, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the park’s expansive savannas and observe its remarkable wildlife. A picnic lunch will be served during your game drive. In the evening, you will set up camp within the Serengeti, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night under the stars.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
The fourth day is dedicated to further exploration of Serengeti National Park. After breakfast at the campsite, you will set out for a full day of game drives, providing ample opportunities to experience the park’s rich wildlife and stunning landscapes. Depending on the time of year, you might witness the spectacular Great Migration or see other notable wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided during your game drives. After a full day of adventure, you will return to your Serengeti campsite for dinner and another night in the heart of the park.

Day 5: Serengeti to Arusha
On the final day of your safari, you will enjoy breakfast at the campsite before departing Serengeti National Park. You will travel back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. This concludes your private camping safari, having experienced some of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife and landscapes.
