Bookings
Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd is flexible and accepts safari bookings at any time, subject to the availability of safari vehicles, lodges, camps, and park permits. All bookings are treated as a high priority, and our team responds promptly to every inquiry.
Reservations can be made directly with Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd, based in Arusha, Tanzania, via email at info@tanzaniajoyoustime.com. Clients may also submit an online inquiry and complete the booking form through our website.
Whether you are planning a Tanzania safari, Zanzibar holiday, Serengeti Great Migration safari, Mount Kilimanjaro trekking tour, or a Tanzania and Kenya combined safari, we recommend booking early to secure availability and preferred accommodations.
Booking Terms and Conditions
Bookings and confirmations should be made as early as possible. To secure seats in our safari vehicles and preferred safari accommodations, we recommend booking at least 90 days in advance.
For private campsites and luxury safari camps, bookings should be made at least 120 days in advance. Meanwhile, budget camping safaris should be booked at least 21 days before arrival.
During the low season, bookings may be accepted at shorter notice, depending on availability.
Additionally, any dietary requirements, medical conditions, or food allergies must be clearly communicated at the time of booking. Please also inform Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd in advance if you are celebrating a special occasion during your safari, such as:
Honeymoons
Birthdays
Wedding anniversaries
Family celebrations
This allows us to help create a more memorable safari experience.
Payment Policy
For combined Tanzania and Kenya safari itineraries, a 50% deposit of the total safari cost is required to confirm the booking. The remaining 50% balance must be paid one month prior to arrival. This allows sufficient time to secure cross-border arrangements, park permits, accommodations, and travel vouchers.
For Tanzania-only safari itineraries, a 30% deposit of the total safari cost is required to confirm the booking. The remaining 70% balance must be paid one month before arrival. This allows adequate time to finalize safari logistics, accommodations, and national park services.
However, for all bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, full payment is required at the time of confirmation, regardless of the itinerary type.
Payment Methods
Payments may be made via:
Bank transfer
Credit card
Approved online payment methods
Full payment instructions and banking details will be provided upon booking confirmation or upon request.
Please note that all bank charges, credit card processing fees, currency conversion fees, and other transaction-related costs are the responsibility of the client. These charges are payable in addition to the quoted safari price.
A safari booking will only be considered confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and cleared in our company account.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
Please note that our suppliers impose cancellation fees, which are passed on to Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. Therefore, cancellations, reductions in the length of stay, or changes in the number of participants are subject to the following charges:
20% of the total safari cost if cancelled 60 days or more before arrival
50% if cancelled 31–60 days before arrival
75% if cancelled 15–30 days before arrival
100% if cancelled 14 days or less before arrival
Where applicable, refunds will be processed minus the applicable cancellation fees.
Amendments
Any amendments to confirmed safari bookings must be requested within 14 days of the booking confirmation date.
