Safari Overview
The 3-day Tanzania Private camping safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara offers a fantastic opportunity to witness a diverse array of wildlife and stunning landscapes. This budget-friendly safari presents a good chance of spotting the Big Five, which include lions, leopards, buffalo, African elephants, and black rhinos.
The adventure begins and ends in Arusha. You will either meet us the day before or in the morning at your Arusha hotel for a brief overview of the safari before heading to Tarangire National Park.
This safari is available year-round, regardless of the wet or dry seasons, and can be customized to extend the duration. Additional options include adding visits to Serengeti National Park and relaxing on the beaches of Zanzibar.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your private camping safari begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. You will then travel to Tarangire National Park, known for its impressive herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the park’s diverse landscapes and observe its abundant wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided at a scenic location within the park. After an exciting day of game viewing, you’ll set up camp at a designated site in Tarangire. Enjoy dinner around the campfire and spend the night in the heart of the park, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast at your campsite, you will leave Tarangire and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, the crater is renowned for its stunning views and rich wildlife. Upon arrival, you will descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing. The crater’s diverse habitats provide excellent opportunities to see a variety of animals, including the possibility of encountering the Big Five. A picnic lunch will be served on the crater floor, offering spectacular scenery. In the late afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and travel to a nearby campsite where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara and Return to Arusha
On the final day, you will enjoy breakfast at the campsite before departing Ngorongoro Crater and traveling to Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its lush vegetation and diverse bird species, Lake Manyara offers a different safari experience. After arriving, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the park and observe its unique wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided during your exploration. In the late afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, concluding your 3-day private camping safari. You will arrive in the evening, marking the end of your memorable adventure through Tanzania’s stunning landscapes and wildlife.
