Bookings

Tanzania Joyous Time Expedition is flexible and accepts bookings at anytime, subject to availability of seats in our safari vehicles. Bookings are treated as a high priority, and we respond promptly to all inquiries. Reservations can be made directly with Tanzania Joyous Time Expedition, based in Arusha, via email at info@tanzaniajoyoustime.com. You may also submit an online inquiry and complete the booking form through our website. Booking Terms and Conditions

Bookings and confirmations should be made as early as possible. To secure your seats in our safari vehicles and preferred accommodations, were commend booking at least 90 days in advance. For private campsites, bookings should be made 120 days in advance, while budget camping safaris should be booked at least 21 days in advance.

During the low season, bookings may be accepted at shorter notice, subject to availability. Any dietary requirements or food allergies must be clearly communicate date the time of booking. Please inform Tanzania Joyous Time Expedition in advance if you will be celebrating a special occasion during your safari, such as a birthday, anniversary, or honeymoon.

 Payment Policy For combined Tanzania and Kenya itineraries, a 50% deposit of the total trip cost is required to confirm the booking. The remaining 50%balance must be paid one month prior to arrival, allowing sufficient time to secure cross- border arrangements, park permits, vouchers, and other necessary services. 

For Tanzania-only itineraries, a 30% deposit of the total trip cost is required to confirm the booking. The remaining 70% balance is due one month prior to arrival, allowing adequate time to finalize park permits, accommodations, and operational arrangements. For all bookings made less than 30 days prior to arrival, full payment is required at the time of confirmation, regardless of the itinerary type.

Payment Methods

Payments may be made via bank transfer, credit card, or any other payment method approved by Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. Full payment
details and instructions will be provided at the time of booking or upon request. All bank charges, credit card processing fees, currency conversion costs, and any other transaction-related expenses are the sole responsibility of the client and must be settled in addition to the quoted safari price.

 A booking will be considered confirmed only once the required deposit or full payment has been received and cleared in our account.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. Please note that our suppliers impose cancellation fees, which are passed on to us. As a result, cancellations, reductions in length of stay, or changes in the number of participants are subject to the following charges: 20% of the total trip cost if cancelled 60 days or more prior to arrival.
50% if cancelled 31–60 days prior to arrival. 75% if cancelled 15–30 days prior to arrival. 100% if cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival. Refunds, where applicable, will be issued minus any cancellation fees. 

Amendments

Any amendments to confirmed bookings must be requested within 14 days of the booking confirmation date. Visa and Passport Clients are responsible for obtaining their own passports and visas. Visas maybe obtained in advance or upon arrival at all Tanzanian international airports and border crossings.

Guests with Disabilities and Physical Challenges

Guests with physical challenges are encouraged to inform Tanzania Joyous Time Expedition in advance, providing details of the nature of the disability. Special care and attention are a priority, and we do our best to accommodate guests with various needs. Please note that our safari vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair lifts, and wheelchairs are not provided. Guests requiring mobility aids should travel with theirown equipment. However, if a wheelchair will be needed, please inform us well in advance so that we can arrange one for you. Kindly note that this service is available at an additional cost.

Media & Marketing Consent

All photographs and videos taken by Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. during the safari, including images or footage featuring clients, may be used exclusively for the company’s marketing and promotional purposes, such as on our website, social media platforms, brochures, and other promotional materials. By participating in the safari, clients grant consent for the use of such media unless a written objection is submitted prior to the commencement of the trip. Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. commits to using all media content in a respectful, professional, and appropriate manner at all times.

Accommodation & Transport

All accommodations and safari vehicles are carefully selected to ensure comfort, safety, and reliability. In the event that changes are required due to availability, operational requirements, or unforeseen conditions, Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. reserves the right to make suitable substitutions. Any such changes will be of an equivalent or comparable standard to that originally agreed upon. Health & Travel Documents
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that they possess valid passports, visas, required vaccinations, and any other health or entry documentation necessary for travel. Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. shall not beheld liable for denied entry, delays, or any additional costs incurred at
borders or ports of entry due to incomplete, invalid, or missing travel or health documents. 

Insurance

All clients of Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. are required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to their safari. This insurance should cover, at a minimum, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellations or interruptions, and loss or damage to personal belongings. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that their insurance policy is valid for the entire duration of the trip and appropriate for all planned activities.

 Changes to Itinerary Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. reserves the right to amend or adjust
the itinerary when necessary due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, road conditions, safety considerations, or accommodation and service availability. In the event of any significant changes, clients will be informed as early as possible, and suitable alternatives of comparable value and quality will be provided where feasible. 

Liability While every effort is made to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our clients, Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience arising during the  trip due to circumstances beyond our control. These include, but are not limited to, acts of God or force majeure events such as aircraft accidents, flight delays or cancellations, floods, storms, cyclones, natural disasters, political unrest, theft, robbery, or attacks by criminal groups, as well as any other unforeseen events outside our direct management or responsibility.

VAT and Park Fees

Please note that all safari prices are based on the current Value Added Tax (VAT) rates and park fees at the time of booking. Tanzania Joyous Time Expeditions Ltd. is not responsible for any future changes imposed by the government. Should there beany adjustments or increases in VAT, park fees, or other government-imposed charges, the additional costs will be the responsibility of the client and must be settled prior to or during the safari. This ensures compliance with local regulations and uninterrupted access to parks and services. 

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
