Meet your driver-guide at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 8:00 AM for a scenic drive to Mikumi National Park, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. You’ll arrive around 3:00 PM, with an opportunity for a game drive en route to the hotel. After a brief rest, take an evening walk to a nearby Maasai village for a cultural interaction experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, set off with packed lunches for a full day of adventure in the Park. During your safari, you’ll have the opportunity to observe an incredible array of bird species, along with abundant giraffes, buffalo, and elephants. With a bit of luck, you might also catch a glimpse of lions and leopards. Other wildlife you can expect to encounter includes zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands, and various types of antelope.
